Here's a little about who we are and how we got here.
James A. Youngling
President
James A. Youngling is President of Independent Resources, Inc., and manages Youngling & Company, a merchant bank that specializes in mergers and acquisitions and other corporate finance activities including investing in privately held companies.
Mr. Youngling established and operated for six years a majority owned leasing and finance company called People's Capital and Leasing Corp. for People's United Bank located in Connecticut. During Mr. Youngling's tenure, approximately $1 billion dollars in leasing and financing transactions were generated. Mr. Youngling sold his interest in People's Capital in early 2003 but still remains active as a consultant with the Bank. Prior to People's Capital, Mr. Youngling founded Phoenixcor, Inc., a finance and leasing company that specialized in providing services in many industries. While at Phoenixcor for twenty-five years, Mr. Youngling oversaw all aspects of the business including sales, funding, and credit as CEO of the company. He also led the company into less traditional financing activities of specialized investment banking and project financing. When Mr. Youngling sold his remaining stock in 1995, Phoenixcor had generated well in excess of $1 billion dollars in leasing and financing during his tenure and close to $1 Billion dollars in assets were currently being managed.
Mr. Youngling holds a B.S. from University of Richmond. In addition to sitting on the board of directors of several companies, Mr. Youngling is active in trade association groups and local philanthropic organizations. He also has acted as a consultant for The Department of Economic Development for the State of Connecticut and for the Connecticut Development Authority and is a member of the Eli Whitney Advisory Board for Connecticut Innovations which was the technology financing group for the State of Connecticut.

Thomas J. Williams
Managing Director
Tom Williams is a Managing Director of Independent Resources, Inc. and focuses on transaction origination and providing client companies with management, operating and restructuring support. Mr. Williams brings substantial financial services and management experience to IRI based on his history of success as President of P.C. Leasing Corp., Executive Vice President of Phoenixcor, Inc., Vice President and Portfolio Manager at GE Commercial Finance, and Vice President of Sales and Marketing for U.S. Concord, Inc.
Most recently, Mr. Williams was Managing Director of DoveBid Valuation Consultants. Earlier in his career, he held positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing and product planning for Rockwell International Corporation. Additionally, he and Mr. Youngling have worked together in various business enterprises over the past 30 years.
Mr. Williams holds an M.B.A from the University of Chicago and a B.S. from Rochester Institute of Technology. He is active in community affairs, charitable organizations and trade associations and is a speaker and lecturer at association meetings, industry seminars and universities.

David Eldredge
Managing Director
David Eldredge is a Managing Director of Independent Resources, Inc and focuses on providing financial advisory services to the business community. Mr. Eldredge brings extensive operating and financial entrepreneurial management experience to Independent Resources based on his history of success as CFO, COO, and Financial Director of several companies.
Prior to joining Independent Resources, Mr. Eldredge was CFO of Tangoe Inc. for six years, a software/services company providing solutions to better manage telecommunication expenses for large enterprises. One of the early members of the company, Mr. Eldredge helped lead Tangoe to be twice listed as an Inc. Magazine "500 fastest growing Companies" in the U.S. He was involved in managing numerous equity and debt transactions to help fund the growth of the company. Previously, Mr. Eldredge co-founded Fairbank Mortgage Bankers Corporation, a mortgage banking and portfolio company originating residential and commercial mortgages to institutional investors, and was COO for thirteen years. Under his leadership, Fairbank became a leading mortgage funding company with offices throughout the East Coast until the company was sold in 1990.
Mr. Eldredge earned an M.B.A from Babson College and a BA at Denison University. He is involved in a number of community interest groups and business affiliations.
